Construction of a hydraulic log splitter
This equipment is a metal frame with legs, in the middle of which is placed a log for splitting. On one side of the bed there is a stationary metal pick, and on the other – a pressure heel.
Inside the hydraulic log splitter there is a hydraulic system that provides a powerful clamp. The hydraulics control lever is located at the back. Below is the engine and the engine start button.
When the engine is started and the hydraulics lever is pressed, the clamping heel moves the log in the direction of the cleaver and firmly presses it against it. Cleaver- cuts into the wood, and thus splitting occurs.
